Mr.V.G. Rajendran, a highly respected professional in the construction industry and a visionary with multifarious interests, established Indira Educational & Charitable Trust in the year 2002 with the objective of providing educational opportunity and training to deserving students and serving social causes .
Being a Keen observer, he had identified the woefully inadequate Healthcare and paramedical facilities available to the rural population.

As a corollary, he completed construction of two Nursing Institutions to offer B.Sc [ Nursing ] and Diploma in Nursing courses respectively with a missionary Zeal.
Thus were born INDIRA COLLEGE OF NURSING AND INDIRA SCHOOL OF NURSING.
