Diploma in Teacher Education (D.T.Ed.):
The course is co-educational with a non-semester system. It's been approved by the Government of India's National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bangalore. The medium of instruction is Tamil.
DURATION
2 Years.
SYLLABUS
As Prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
TEACHING PRACTICE
All trainees shall undergo an intensive teaching practice cum observation class for a duration of 40 days each year at the allotted schools.
Examination
The Directorate of Government Examination, Government of Tamil Nadu at the end of each academic year, will conduct the examination.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants should have passed +2/H.S.C. or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate. For S.C. and S.T. Applicants, a pass in the examination will do.
AGE LIMIT
i. Applicants should bave completed 17 years of age and should not exceed 30 years on 31st July of respective academic year.
ii. For S.C. and S.T. applicants the age limit is 35 years.
iii. The maximum age limit is 40 years for orphans, destitutes and widows.
